There are tons of cuts and models. As it is easy to get lost in them, here are the styles to favor according to your figure. A quick reminder: you always balance according to the top paired with your jeans. Avoid the tight-tight or loose-loose combo. The goal of jeans is to shape the buttocks and lengthen the legs!
The focus is on the lower body to reduce the width of the shoulders! Go for a flared leg, pale, faded jeans, perhaps with contrasting topstitching. Boyfriend and mom jeans are your friends!
To reduce the volume at the hips, choose a straight leg or a bootcut model in a solid, dark color. Avoid details on the strongest part of the hips (whiskers, rivets, holes, etc.).
All styles suit you! Adding a belt to your jeans will emphasize your waist, which is already well defined.
Choose cuts that are neither too loose nor too tight. Avoid straight, loose jeans that do not feminize your figure or too-baggy styles in which your delicate legs will get lost.Silhouette H
The aim is to create a waist and accentuate your curves (to counteract the rectangular effect of the silhouette). Therefore, avoid boyfriend styles and opt instead for slim or straight cuts with a regular waist that will emphasize your legs.
You will find more information on the silhouettes here.
Beware of POCKETS that can make your buttocks look disproportionate.
The positioning of HOLES and WEAR MARKS will greatly influence the perception of the figure!
Remember that wherever you add light, it creates volume, and the opposite applies with shadow (darkness).
Standard denim is made of 98-99% cotton. For more comfort and less stiffness, you can choose a blend of cotton, polyester and elastane. However, if it contains lycra or spandex, please choose a slightly tighter fit, as it will loosen as your body warms up during the day.
In short, each season a style is named as more “trendy” than the others. I advise you to focus on finding the cut that suits you and in which you feel beautiful and comfortable!
